Specialist care
Cardiometabolic health
Blood pressure, lipids, blood sugar and weight are one system. This clinic looks at them in one appointment, with testing in the same building.

A cardiometabolic appointment combines a consultant review with testing at Wharfside: bloods, blood pressure over time, an ECG where useful, and other cardiac or respiratory testing when it is indicated.
The output is a plan you can actually follow — what to change, what to monitor, what to review and when — written down and shared with the GP who sees you the rest of the year.
Who it is for
- Raised blood pressure, cholesterol or blood sugar
- A family history of heart or metabolic disease
- Review after an event or a change in medication
- Anyone who wants risk explained in terms they can act on

How to prepare
- Fast for the period given in your appointment letter where bloods are booked
- Bring any home blood pressure readings from the last month
