Larkmoor

The first appointment is sixty minutes: symptoms, history, what you have already tried, what matters most to you, and the options available, described plainly.

After that, review appointments are shorter and more frequent than a standard clinic would offer, because adjusting a plan works better in small steps than in one large annual one.

Who it is for

  • Perimenopausal symptoms that have not been taken seriously elsewhere
  • Reviewing or adjusting an existing plan
  • Menopause alongside another long-term condition
  • Anyone who wants the options explained without being rushed into one

What to expect

  1. First visit

Sixty minutes, including a symptom review and a discussion of the options.

  2. Decisions

Nothing is started in the room unless you want it to be.

  3. Review

A shorter review at six to twelve weeks, then as often as it is useful.

  4. Shared record

Your GP inside the practice sees the same plan you do.

How to prepare

  • Keep a short symptom note for a fortnight before the appointment if you can
  • Bring a list of anything already tried, including what did not work
  • Note the dates of your last cycles if they are still occurring
  • Bring recent blood results from elsewhere if you have them

This page describes how an appointment works. It is general information, not medical advice, and it does not replace a consultation.
