Larkmoor

Minor procedures are booked as a longer appointment so that consent, the procedure itself and the conversation afterwards all fit into one visit without anybody hurrying.

You will be told in advance what the procedure involves, what the alternatives are, how long recovery usually takes and who to contact if anything changes once you are home.

Who it is for

  • Skin lesions that need removing or sampling
  • Joint and soft tissue injections
  • Wound care and suture removal
  • Procedures already discussed and agreed at a previous appointment

What to expect

  1. Before

A consultation to agree the procedure, the alternatives and the aftercare.

  2. On the day

A sixty-minute slot in the procedures room at Fieldgate.

  3. Aftercare

Written aftercare instructions and a direct number for the following week.

  4. Results

Where a sample is sent, results are explained in a booked follow-up.

How to prepare

  • Wear clothing that gives easy access to the area being treated
  • Tell us in advance about blood-thinning medication
  • Arrange to get home without cycling or driving where you have been advised not to
  • Bring someone with you if that would help you feel steadier

This page describes how an appointment works. It is general information, not medical advice, and it does not replace a consultation.
